In the wake of Jussie Smollett‘s jail sentencing, the former ‘Empire’ actor’s mugshot has been revealed.

As we previously reported, he has been found guilty on five counts of making false police reports related to the false hate attack from 2019.
While he faced 15 years in prison at one time, he was handed down a lesser sentence (as we reported here). Smollett was instead sentenced to five months in prison. Moreover, he received 30 days of probation and must pay restitution to the tune of $120,106 with an additional $25,000 fine.
After finding out his sentence, he declared his innocence and made it clear that he was not suicidal.
Now, as he goes to jail, his mug shot has been revealed.

I will never in a million years understand why it takes prosecutors more than a few weeks to convict & sentence someone. Every thing they know today, they already knew 2+ years ago.

First of all, your reporting is inaccurate at best. He received this sentence….30 MONTHS PROBATION, 150 DAYS IN COOK COUNTY JAIL, $120,000 IN RESTITUTION AND $25,000 FINE
Idk if he’s innocent at this point that’s between him & God. He’s brilliant he put the officials on notice by repeatedly saying “I’m not suicidal”. S****** watch would be a blessing. May God watch over him, the guards & keep them ALL SAFE. 🙏🙏🙏
